The P144 is an affordable alternative to high-cost preamplifiers.

It is rated for 11 dB of gain while maintaining a 2dB (or lower) noise figure.

Input return loss (match) is very respectable (>-18 dB) when tuned for maximum gain.

Output return loss is also very good - >-20 dB.

This product is mostly thru-hole for easy assembly. Surface mounted parts are pre-installed.

Price $25.00 each - in unassembled kit form.
$55.00 each - assembled, tested, and tuned for any frequency between 135 and 160 MHz.

Description:
The P144 is a VHF RF (receiver) preamplifier intended to be placed in the RX path of a duplex radio or repeater. There is no bypass circuitry for the transmitter.

Power Source: +10 to +15 VDC @ 10mA.

Unassembled kit or assembled and tested. Surface mount components pre-installed on kits.

Circuit board will accommodate SMA female connectors (included).

RF is NOT switched for transmit. Damage will occur if accidental transmit power reaches the preamp!

Small size - fits easily in most radios.

Simple to hook up and set up.

90 day Limited Warranty. Repair available for units out of, or not covered under, warranty (my determination).

Mounts with double-sided foam tape or stand-off (not included).

Hookup is made to solder pads/holes for coax and power (not included).

Kit comes with thru-hole resistors and capacitors, and is fine for the first time builder - all surface mounted components are pre-installed.
