FL-10 Parts List: 15 kHz Low Pass Filter configuration (Ultrasonic RA & DRA Filter): FL-10 printed circuit board U1 - TL062BCP 4 pin header socket 8 pin IC socket C1 - 1uF (105) C2 - 1uF (105) C3 - 1uF (105) C4 - 1uF (105) R1 - 10k - 5% (brown - black - orange - gold) R2 - 10k - 5% (brown - black - orange - gold) R3 - 100k - 5% (brown - black - yellow - gold) A - 0.001uF (102) B - 0.01uF (103) C - 3.3k - 5% (orange - orange - red - gold) D - 3.3k - 5% (orange - orange - red - gold) E - 0.0082uF (822) (the 8 looks weird - broken lines between sides) F - 0.0022uF (222) G - 1.5k - 5% (brown - green - red - gold) H - 3.3k - 5% (orange - orange - red - gold) I - 1.5k - 5% (brown - green - red - gold) J - 0.01uF (103) To select the LP configuration, do the following: Jump location J2 across the two adjacent holes more toward the outer edge of the board. In other words, jump the center hole to the square pad hole closest the J2 silkscreen identification. Do this with a resistor lead clipping. NOTES: 1. Orient the female header so the board is positioned with the parts on the filter away from the RA or DRA board. In other words, install the header socket onto the solder side of the board. 2. Install the board so it extends toward J1. In other words position the body toward the DB9 connector. 3. Use black tape or other insulation between the output capacitors and the solder side of the filter board, otherwise the filter board may short out. 4. The FL-10 will run from 5 VDC, but they severely limit the P-P output capability. The RA or DRA should really be configured for external voltage source and be supplied with at least 10 VDC when using the FL-10 filtering option. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 kHz Low Pass Filter configuration (Voice-band RA or 1200 buad DRA Filter): FL-10 printed circuit board U1 - TL062BCP 4 pin header socket 8 pin IC socket C1 - 1uF (105) C2 - 1uF (105) C3 - 1uF (105) C4 - 1uF (105) R1 - 10k - 5% (brown - black - orange - gold) R2 - 10k - 5% (brown - black - orange - gold) R3 - 100k - 5% (brown - black - yellow - gold) A - 470pF (471) B - 0.001uF (102) C - 36k - 5% (orange - blue - orange - gold) D - 56k - 5% (green - blue - orange - gold) E - 0.0033uF (332) F - 220pF (221) G - 10k - 5% (brown - black - orange - gold) H - 100k - 5% (brown - black - yellow - gold) I - 30k - 5% (orange - black - orange - gold) J - 0.0015uF (152) To select the LP configuration, do the following: Jump location J2 across the two adjacent holes more toward the outer edge of the board. C2 - 1uF (105) C3 - 220uF 16v electrolytic (observe polarity) (see notes on installation) C4 - 1uF (105) R1 - 1k - 1/4 w - 5% (brown - black - red - gold) R2 - 1k - 1/4 w - 5% (brown - black - red - gold) R3 - omitted - do not install anything in this location. A - 8.2k - 5% (gray - red - red - gold) B - 2.2k - 5% (red - red - red - gold) C - 0.1uF (104) D - 0.1uF (104) E - 5.6k - 5% (green - blue - red - gold) F - 39k - 5% (orange - white - orange - gold) G - 0.068uF (683 or 0.068) (red) H - 0.068uF (683 or 0.068) (red) I - 0.068uF (683 or 0.068) (red) J - 2.2k - 5% (red - red - red - gold) To select the HP configuration, do the following: 1. Jump location C1 with a resistor lead clipping. 2. Location R3 is omitted. Do not install anything in this location. 3. The large electrolytic capacitor on the HPF needs special attention: the negative lead goes through the ground hole for C3 - the one closest to the edge of the board. The positive lead goes through the middle hole of J2, and after seating the capacitor fully onto the board, the positive lead gets bent over so it reaches the round J2 hole closest to the middle of the board, cut off flush with the center of the hole, and soldered. Then, solder the negative lead normally and clip. This completes the installation of both the capacitor and J2.
